Lime is mainly used in metallurgy, chemical industry, building materials, disinfection, flue gas desulfurization in power plants, and for neutralizing CO2 to meet emissions standards. In recent years, the industry's requirements for lime quality have been increasing, market demand for lime has gradually grown, and its applications have become more extensive. However, many regions in China still produce lime using outdated traditional kilns. Due to backward technology, the product quality is poor and production costs are high. Traditional kilns have many shortcomings in production: for instance, the thermal efficiency of the kiln is low, only below 50%; energy consumption is high, with coal usage above 160 kg per ton of lime; most traditional kilns have short kiln bodies with open or semi-open tops, resulting in low heat recovery and difficulty in dust removal, causing serious environmental pollution; the feeding and unloading of lime largely rely on manual operation, which is labor-intensive and severely damages the health of workers; the quality is unstable, with underburned, overburned, and lumpy lime usually exceeding 30%, and cannot be controlled in a timely manner. In recent years, with rapid industrial development in China, downstream manufacturers have increasingly higher quality requirements. Based on market demand, we have introduced advanced lime kiln technology from abroad.
